The Work Smarter initiative was introduced in June. It constitutes a code of conduct created by Human Resources, including a set of tips to follow in order to work more efficiently. This project is the result of employee feedback obtained through the company’s 2015 Climate Survey.
The recommendations focus on three of the most important keys to effective time management: meetings; workplace organization; and the management of emails and phone calls. The actions carried out during the campaign included placing chocolate coins on each employee’s desk bearing the phrase, “Your time is priceless,” and placing hourglasses in conference rooms to encourage participants to optimize their time. Vinyl signs with motivational and relevant phrases such as, “Time’s up: work smarter,” “Less is the new more,” and “Value your time” were also used.
